1. Purpose
This policy explains how MUHLE Glow Beauty Academy assesses student learning, determines course completion and issues certificates.
2. Course Requirements
Each course may have defined learning activities, assignments, quizzes, examinations, practical assessments or other requirements. These requirements should be stated on the relevant course page or student materials.
3. Assessment Standards
Assessments should be designed to test the knowledge and practical skills taught in the relevant course. Students must complete their own assessments unless collaboration is expressly permitted.
4. Online Assessments
Where assessments are completed online, students may be required to use their own secure LMS account. Students must not impersonate another student or allow another person to complete an assessment on their behalf.
5. Practical Assessments
Where practical competency is part of a course, students must complete the required practical component under the stated supervision or verification arrangements.
6. Pass Requirements
The pass mark, required activities and any practical competency requirements should be communicated to students before or during the course, as applicable.
7. Failed Assessment
A student who does not meet the required standard may be offered reassessment where the course provides for it. The applicable reassessment conditions should be communicated clearly.
8. Reassessment
Where reassessment is permitted, MUHLE may specify a reasonable process, timeframe and number of attempts. Any additional fee must be disclosed before the student commits to it.
9. Academic Integrity
Plagiarism, cheating, impersonation, falsification of evidence or unauthorised assistance may result in an assessment being rejected and may lead to disciplinary action, subject to applicable procedures and law.
10. Course Completion
A course is complete only when the student has satisfied all mandatory learning, assessment and practical requirements applicable to that course.
11. Certificate Eligibility
A certificate may be issued only after MUHLE has verified that the student's completion requirements have been met.
12. Certificate Content
Certificates should accurately identify MUHLE Glow Beauty Academy, the student's name, course/programme, completion date and the appropriate certificate wording. Any level, distinction or other status must be supported by the student's records.
13. Accreditation Claims
MUHLE must not state or imply that a course is formally accredited, registered, nationally recognised or endorsed by an external organisation unless that status is current and can be substantiated.
14. Founder and Trainer Handover
Where applicable, Bev Pennells, Founder & Master Trainer, may formally hand over or present the student's certificate after the required course completion has been verified.
15. Bella's Role
Bella may congratulate students when they complete a level or course, explain the next available level and guide them through the next step. Bella must not independently issue or alter certificates.
16. Adrian's Role
Adrian may assist with administrative checks, payment verification, certificate records, emails and communication with service providers or practical-training partners.
17. Trainer Avatars
The relevant trainer avatar may guide students through the course content within its defined expertise. Certification remains subject to MUHLE's assessment and verification process.
18. Student Records
MUHLE should retain appropriate assessment and completion records for legitimate administrative, certification, audit and legal purposes.
19. Certificate Corrections
If a certificate contains an administrative error, the student should contact MUHLE. MUHLE may correct and reissue the certificate where appropriate.
20. Lost Certificates
MUHLE may provide a replacement certificate or verification letter where records permit. Any replacement fee must be disclosed before the student incurs it.
21. Certificate Verification
MUHLE may maintain records or a verification process allowing authorised parties to confirm the authenticity of a certificate, subject to privacy requirements.
22. Complaints and Appeals
Students should have a clear channel to raise concerns about an assessment or certification decision. MUHLE will review the matter according to its applicable procedures.
23. Privacy
Assessment, student and certification information is processed in accordance with the MUHLE Privacy & POPIA Policy.
24. Website Implementation Requirement
Sakhile must ensure the Academy clearly shows the course requirements, assessment/pass criteria, practical requirements, certification outcome and any reassessment information before or during enrolment.
25. Policy Updates
MUHLE may update this policy to reflect changes in courses, assessment systems, certification procedures or legal requirements.
